Major Roadwork Commencing on Adelaide Avenue

Motorists using Adelaide Avenue should be aware of new lane closures starting today. The National Capital Authority has scheduled light pole replacement works that will restrict traffic flow between 23 March and 27 March. Expect lane reductions and a lowered speed limit in the affected areas. Commonwealth Avenue and Bridge Renewal

The Commonwealth Avenue Bridge Renewal project continues to be the most significant disruption in the central precinct. The northbound span of the bridge remains closed to all traffic, with all vehicles merged onto the southbound side. General traffic travelling toward Parliament House is reduced to one lane after Albert Street. Additionally, the Light Rail Stage 2A works have resulted in ongoing lane restrictions near Parkes Way.
